Evolve with a Reiki - NLP Fusion

NLP and Reiki Training Fusion

Katie van Gend has designed a unique way of blending NLP with Reiki training. It aims tol raise your (the student's) awareness of the individual qualities you will bring to your practise of Reiki. It is common for the specific benefits of NLP to spill over into other areas of your life. A crude but accessible example would be: if you give up smoking, your self esteem will automatically increase. Increased self esteem will affect the way you regard your work, leisure interests, relationships, general lifestyle, etc.

NLP developed in the mid 1970s from an interest in finding out how someone who excels in a particular discipline (e.g. high-diving, juggling, mathematics, musicianship etc. etc.) achieves such spectacular results - what does s/he do in particular that sets him/her above the others? And… what happens if 'ordinary' people emulate them? N.L.P stems from this intense curiosity, and the spirit of exploration is one which challenges established 'truths'. NLPs name, while perhaps sounding bizarre initially, is logical! 'Neuro' refers to the neurological system that links mind and body. 'Linguistic' refers to the way in which we communicate through language, and the profound and subtle way this affects ourselves and others. 'Programming' is about the repeated patterns of thought and behaviour which help make up our experience of the world.

NLP is firmly grounded on certain principles which respect the individual. Therapist and Client work in co-operation, towards the stated goal of the Client - obvious examples would be: from 'smoker' to 'non-smoker', from 'spider-phobic' to 'phobia-free' . Since NLP is largely concerned with how a person processes the information that comes to him via his five senses, as opposed to what he is thinking, the therapy is able to maintain Client privacy. This is very reassuring for clients who do not always want to 'bare their souls', even in the confidential atmosphere of a therapy session.

NLP in Psychological (individual or group) Therapy

NLP has proven itself over and over. Its benefits can be brought to bear on all aspect of life; in business, in personal relationships, in sporting endeavours, in personal health, and self development on all levels; physical, emotional and spiritual.

At all times the Therapist and Client collaborate, aiming for the improved well-being of the Client. Trust is the basis for all progress - spiced with goodwill and good humour. NLP facilitates a 'sense of control over one's life'. If previously the only way you had of reacting to a harmless spider was 'fear', removing that 'fear' not only releases you from that limitation, it increases your options - now, you can choose; to respond with interest, indifference or amusement ... whatever's appropriate, whatever serves you best!
